HIGHLIGHTS: Watch the action from FP2 in Monaco as Leclerc sets the pace after crashes for Hadjar and Piastri
Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc continued his impressive practice pace in Monaco by setting the pace during Friday’s second session, which featured incidents and near-misses aplenty.
Leclerc worked his way down to a best time of 1m 11.355s on the soft tyres to edge out McLaren rival Oscar Piastri by 0.038s, with Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris completing the top four places.
Piastri triggered a red flag earlier in the session when he went too deep at Sainte Devote and thumped the wall, forcing a front wing change, while Racing Bulls rookie Isack Hadjar found the barriers twice.
There were also further traffic-related frustrations over the course of the hour-long session, including a near-miss for reigning World Champion Max Verstappen through the high-speed Swimming Pool section.
