The on-track action got underway ahead of this weekend's Russian Grand Prix on Friday morning at Sochi – and there was plenty going on as the drivers got their first laps of the circuit under their belts.
Although there was a familiar name at the top of the time sheets with Valterri Bottas posting the quickest time for Mercedes, his team mate Lewis Hamilton ended up down in 19th after a session hampered by lock-ups and flat spots on his tyres.
