FP2: Alonso leads Verstappen during second practice in Bahrain as track action ramps up

Despite struggling with his wrists, Lance Stroll set the sixth-quickest time, as the Aston Martin driver finished ahead of the Alpine of Pierre Gasly, in seventh, the Mercedes pair of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, in eighth and 13th respectively and Carlos Sainz in 14th.

There were no major incidents in the session, although we did see a number of drivers – including Oscar Piastri at Turn 1 – continue to run wide and lock up into the corner as they got to grips with the Bahrain International Circuit.
