It will be the end of an era on December 31, when Franz Tost closes the door to his office – his home for the last 18 years – in AlphaTauri’s Faenza factory. Tost is a remarkable man who has always been generous with his time over the last decade in which I’ve covered this sport. Never one to mince his words, the Austrian was consistently blunt and brutally honest – a refreshing trait that made interviewing him or chatting off record an absolute delight.
