Carlos Sainz started his Australian Grand Prix weekend on the front foot with a dominant showing in Free Practice 1, going a full half a second quicker than team mate Charles Leclerc.
That was all the more impressive given that the drivers were feeling their way into a new-look Albert Park circuit, which has undergone several key revisions ahead of the 2022 race.
