MUST-SEE: The remarkable way Alonso checked in on team mate Stroll’s progress during the Miami GP
Fernando Alonso may have had his hands full holding onto a podium position in the early stages of the Miami Grand Prix, but he still found a moment to check on Aston Martin team mate Lance Stroll’s rise through the field.

While Alonso scrapped for a fourth rostrum in five races, eventually coming home behind Red Bull pair Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez, a long afternoon in the South Florida sun for Stroll resulted in 12th – just a couple of seconds away from a point.
Stroll’s drive included a smart move on Williams rival Alex Albon into Turn 1, which two-time world champion Alonso saw coming as he impressively followed the action via the television screens at the side of the track.
