PADDOCK INSIDER: ‘I’ve had a terrible season’ – Perez knows he needs a result in Mexico to stop the Red Bull speculation

As you navigate the bustling streets of Mexico City, you’ll notice billboard after billboard plastered with Sergio Perez’s face. The Red Bull racer has a loyal and passionate fanbase in his native country – and they turn out in their hundreds of thousands to see him navigate Mexico’s iconic Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez each year.
This year, though, has been a tougher one if you’re a Perez fan, the 34-year-old struggling to recapture the form that saw him finish a career-best second in the drivers’ standings last year.
