When Formula 1’s design genius Adrian Newey announced he was leaving Red Bull after almost 20 years earlier this season, Ferrari emerged as the early favourites to sign him.

However, as we arrive at the Italian team’s home race at Monza, it seems that Newey isn’t heading to Italy but is now at the centre of a battle between two other squads – Aston Martin and Alpine.
