PALMER: Hamilton’s Silverstone win was a masterclass – and he should be right in the mix in Hungary too


When Lewis Hamilton turns up to the British Grand Prix he’s always in contention. Whatever the current season form guide is becomes irrelevant. Thanks to the mixture of the fast circuit, huge crowd and some reliably inconsistent weather, Lewis just clicks with Silverstone.
On Sunday he took his ninth home victory and incredibly his twelfth consecutive British Grand Prix podium. Considering he’s had a comparatively lacklustre last couple of seasons it shows how he always makes things happen for this one, however the rest of his year is going.
