Max Verstappen secured his 33rd career pole for the Bahrain Grand Prix as he kicked off his 2024 in style. The Red Bull man edged out Ferrari rival Charles Leclerc for the top spot and will hope to convert that into victory in Saturday's race.
But, as we've so often seen, anything can happen on race day. Can Leclerc and Ferrari translate their performance improvement in the Grand Prix, or can the likes of Mercedes, McLaren and Aston Martin show what they're made of?

Don't count out Sergio Perez from getting involved in the battle for the podium either, with the RB20 at his disposal.
