STRATEGY SESSION: How Sainz charged from P18 to P4 in the Italian Grand Prix

One of the standout drives at Monza was Carlos Sainz’s recovery from the penultimate row of the grid to the brink of the podium – the Spaniard bouncing back after taking penalties for power unit and gearbox changes.

In this week’s Workday Strategy Session, Rosanna Tennant, ex-F1 driver Jolyon Palmer and former Aston Martin Head of Race Strategy Bernie Collins take a closer look at how Sainz and Ferrari rose all the way from P18 to P4 in the Italian Grand Prix, and whether a late Safety Car prevented an even stronger result.
