THE STRATEGIST: Could Norris have beaten Verstappen to the title had he maximised every race in 2024?
Max Verstappen was crowned the Formula 1 world champion last week at the FIA gala in Rwanda, after a season in which he beat Lando Norris to the title by an impressive 63 points.
At the end of the season – and indeed after each race – the strategy departments within all the teams will review where points could have been gained and come up with a best-case finishing position for each of their drivers.
