WATCH: 12 times F1 drivers got taxi rides, including Senna hitching a lift with Mansell
When a driver crashes out or breaks down, he's often far from the pits and in need of a ride home. Now he could hitch a lift on the back of a scooter, or in a course car, or - as has happened multiple times in the past - he could wait for the session or race to finish and then hop onto a rival's car for a white-knuckle journey back to his crew.
