WATCH: Dramatic brake fire curtails Alex Albon’s qualifying in Imola
Alex Albon’s qualifying for the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend got off to the worst possible start, as he appeared to suffer a brake fire on his Williams FW44, which brought out the red flags.
Albon was just minutes into qualifying when he was forced to dramatically reduce his speed, as flames licked around the rear right-hand corner of his car.

Bits of flaming debris were then spotted spitting from the back of the Williams, giving the Race Director no choice but to bring out the red flags.
