WATCH: Epic battles, intra-team clashes, surprise results and more – the story of the 2025 season so far
As we head into the summer break, here’s a reminder of what’s happened this season…
Formula 1 fans have been treated to a thrilling spectacle across the 2025 campaign so far, with ultra-close Qualifying sessions, fierce fights for race wins, intra-team clashes and much more playing a part.
At the front of the field, McLaren pair Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris are locked in a fascinating team mate battle – going head-to-head for pole positions, victories and the lead of the World Championship weekend in, weekend out.
Who can forget their collision at the Canadian Grand Prix, when Norris dramatically ran into the back of Piastri’s car and retired? Or the grandstand finish in Hungary last time out, when Piastri hunted down Norris on a different strategy?
Elsewhere, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Mercedes’ George Russell have both triumphed, as well as banging wheels in controversial circumstances in Spain – Russell saying he “just got crashed into” and Verstappen later apologising.
We also witnessed Nico Hulkenberg’s wait for a podium finish finally end in the rain-hit British Grand Prix, which proved hugely popular throughout the paddock and led to some particularly memorable podium celebrations.
