Over the years we have seen plenty of high-profile clashes within teams, and with the summer break now here we’ve delved into the F1 archive to look back on 25 times F1 team mates have sensationally collided.

From incidents as recent as this year in Australia – when the Alpine duo of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly came together to bring their race to an end – to David Coulthard tapping out Mika Hakkinen in Austria 1999, none of them will have gone down well with team bosses.

There were also plenty of times when the world title was on the line in these dramatic clashes. Who can forget Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg colliding in Spain 2016 or the famous coming-together of Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost in Japan 1989 that allowed the Frenchman to seal the drivers’ title?
