Max Verstappen is turning winning races into a bit of a habit – the Dutchman coming home victorious in Austria for his third victory in a row. While he was largely untroubled out front, the midfield provided plenty of action, and the stewards were busy dishing out penalties too. But not all the drivers were happy to find out they were being punished…
Pierre Gasly was left frustrated by traffic for the second straight weekend, while Norris reported some unusual damage after a spin in practice. Fernando Alonso was the unfortunate driver who had a fast lap impeded in qualifying, with his race engineer in full incredulous agreement at the situation.
At the other end of the spectrum, George Russell’s joy at making Q3 was clear to hear, as was Lando Norris’ when he found out he was P2 – and fortunately, he was indeed sitting down. As for the race, Charles Leclerc was exceptionally exasperated after two incidents with Sergio Perez, who himself was unimpressed by Norris.
