WATCH: Go onboard with Russell for his stunning pole position lap in Montreal

George Russell claimed his second F1 pole position during an ultra-close qualifying session for the Canadian Grand Prix, with the final Q3 phase leading to a dead heat between himself and Max Verstappen.
With spots of rain falling over the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, but drivers remaining on slick tyres, Russell brilliantly got down to a time of 1m 12.000s to add to the maiden pole he achieved in Hungary back in 2022.
That was despite Verstappen posting an identical time to Russell on his flying lap, with the reigning world champion having to settle for second on the grid thanks to his effort coming after the Mercedes driver had crossed the line.
