WATCH: High-speed spin and crash ends Albon's FP2 session early at Silverstone

Alex Albon's Friday running was brought to an abrupt halt after a high speed spin saw him crash into the barriers during the second free practice session ahead of the British Grand Prix.
The Red Bull driver suffered a cruel snap of oversteer as his car swapped ends and then went sideways into the barriers on the outside of Stowe during FP2, as you can see in the video above.
Fortunately he was unhurt and has been cleared by the medical centre, but the incident did bring out the red flags as the session was stopped to allow marshals to recover his RB16.
It ended a run of solid laps that had him second fastest at the time, just 0.090s off the pace, after he finished fourth fastest in the morning FP1 session.
This is the second British Grand Prix for Albon after he finished 12th in the 2019 race for Toro Rosso.
