F1 travels straight from Austin’s Circuit of The Americas to Mexico City’s Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez for Round 20 of the 2022 World Championship, a venue that has been kind to Max Verstappen in recent years.

While Verstappen nailed his getaway, there was plenty of drama behind as McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo tipped Bottas into a spin at the first corner, where Esteban Ocon, Yuki Tsunoda and Mick Schumacher also clashed dramatically.

Fans were kept on the edge of their seats in the closing stages of the encounter, too, with Verstappen’s team mate, Sergio Perez, doing all he could to overhaul Hamilton and earn Red Bull a 1-2 at his home track, only to fall agonisingly short.
