WATCH: Ride onboard as Alonso sets the fastest lap of Thursday practice in Saudi Arabia
With the opening two practice sessions at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix now complete, Fernando Alonso was the driver to end Thursday at the top of the timesheets.
After Max Verstappen led the way in Free Practice 1, Alonso set the fastest lap of the day in the more representative conditions of the second practice hour, recording a time of 1m 28.827s on the soft tyre.
FP2: Alonso fastest during second practice in Saudi Arabia ahead of Russell and Verstappen
Alonso's lap put him 0.230s clear of George Russell in second, while Verstappen ended the session in third place.
