WATCH: Ride onboard as Leclerc clinches stellar pole position for United States GP
Charles Leclerc sealed a long-awaited third pole position of the season in qualifying for the United States Grand Prix thanks to an impressive late effort, putting him 0.130s ahead of a fast Lando Norris in second.
In what was an eventful Q3 session, Leclerc had initially secured provisional pole before Max Verstappen looked to have toppled his lap. However, with Verstappen’s time deleted due to exceeding track limits – and the Ferrari driver having improved on his own previous lap – Leclerc secured the P1 slot for Sunday’s race.
