WATCH: Ride onboard with Norris for his outstanding pole lap in Sao Paulo
Lando Norris once again came out on top in a highly competitive Qualifying hour at Interlagos.
Lando Norris demonstrated why he is at the top of the standings as he bounced back from an error to take pole position in Sao Paulo on his final attempt, denying Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc in a tense session.
The McLaren driver had previously locked up at the beginning of Q3, leaving him in P10 with a few minutes of the session remaining. With competition remarkably tight, the battle for pole was wide open and he had a sole opportunity to take it.
Shrugging off his earlier mistake, he set a time of 1m 09.511s, which was slower than his lap in Sprint Qualifying but nevertheless more than enough to displace his competitors, with Antonelli finishing 0.174s adrift of Norris' effort.
