WATCH: Ride onboard with Verstappen for his sensational pole position lap in Saudi Arabia
Max Verstappen took pole position in a nail-biting Qualifying session at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, fending off McLaren driver Oscar Piastri by just 0.010s.
McLaren had led the way across the weekend in Jeddah but Verstappen recreated his Suzuka magic to snatch what had seemed an unlikely pole position prior to Q2.
Verstappen's 1m 27.294s, a new circuit record, is his second of the season and came after championship leader Lando Norris had crashed in the opening stages of Q3.
