WATCH: Russell crashes into the wall to bring his FP2 to an early close in Singapore
George Russell ended his Friday on a bleak note at the Marina Bay Street Circuit after he bumped into the wall towards the end of FP2.
Running in P7, the Mercedes driver locked up his front right wheel as he headed into Turn 8, making it inevitable that he would conclude his session in the barrier.

He managed to angle his car so that he collided with the wall nose-first, limiting the damage to the W15, although the team will have a short turnaround to fix the car ahead of tomorrow.
Russell was thankfully uninjured as he said over the radio: "I'm in the wall. Snatched the front right." The team then informed him that he had left the front wing by the barrier after he asked whether it was stuck under the car as he limped back to the pits.
The incident came as Mercedes are hoping to take the fight to the top three teams at this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix.
