Charles Leclerc had a great getaway from pole at the start of the Spanish Grand Prix, but while it was plain sailing for the Ferrari man on the first lap, the same couldn’t be said for those behind.
Carlos Sainz and Valtteri Bottas were the two drivers to get bogged down off the line, but while they both eventually recovered, the big losers were Kevin Magnussen and Lewis Hamilton. Those two tangled, both picking up punctures and dropping to the back of the field. Meanwhile, George Russell and Sergio Perez also had contact – but it proved to be minor, much to their collective relief.
