Tsunoda wasn't the first driver to have an incident leaving the pits at Montreal. His crash resembled Jarno Trulli’s in 2007 – while Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen had their own baffling, low-speed collision the following year.

Silverstone has also seen its fair share of pit exit incidents, with Romain Grosjean losing his front wing in a strange spin – a near-miss rivalled by Gerhard Berger, who dropped it and almost caused a high-speed crash in Portugal back in 1993.
Perhaps the most spectacular is the airborne collision between Pastor Maldonado and Esteban Gutierrez in Bahrain...
