The first day of pre-season testing ahead of the 2025 season is now complete, with all 10 teams and 20 drivers having hit the track for their initial running at the Bahrain International Circuit on Wednesday.
It was a day that provided plenty of talking points after McLaren’s Lando Norris ended the afternoon session at the top of the timesheets, setting a lap 0.157s quicker than Mercedes’ George Russell in second.

Reigning World Champion Max Verstappen, meanwhile, was third for Red Bull, while the new batch of rookies also got behind the wheel as they look to gain crucial experience before making their debuts in Australia next month.
