WEEKEND WARM-UP: Verstappen targets more success in Austin, the battle for P2 and Ricciardo's return
Both championships may have already been won but there is still plenty of storylines for our Weekend Warm-Up crew to discuss ahead of the United States Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen won the drivers’ championship last time out in Qatar, but there is still a lot for him to achieve this year. So, can the Dutch driver win the remaining five races on the calendar, or could one of his rivals scupper those plans?
Two of those rivals are Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, who are part of a rejuvenated McLaren team that have scored double podium finishes at the last two races in Japan and Qatar. But what do their chances look like in Austin?
Also up for discussion is the state of affairs at Mercedes, after Lewis Hamilton and George Russell’s opening lap crash in Qatar. As the pair look to move from that incident, they have been handed upgrades as they bid to close the gap to their rivals.
The crew also assess Ferrari and Aston Martin, and how both teams are looking ahead of the Sprint action, as well as Daniel Ricciardo’s return, Haas’ upgrades, and new superstar ownership at Alpine.
For this and plenty more click on the video player above to join Laura Winter, Will Buxton, James Hinchcliffe and Lawrence Barretto as they preview the weekend’s action.
