Formula 1 is heading to the Principality for the eighth race weekend of the season as the Monaco Grand Prix looms large – but what does the weather have in store at the historic venue?
As it stands, there is a threat of some showers hitting the track on Friday and Saturday, potentially causing some drama in qualifying, but conditions are expected to be pleasant and sunny for the race.

FRIDAY, MAY 24 – FP1 AND FP2
Conditions: Large, sunny spells in the morning then unsettled with rain occurring inland and lingering around the track during each session. Light southerly breeze, slightly increasing through the day. FP1: 19°C // FP2: 20°C

Minimum temperature expected: 20 Celsius

SATURDAY, MAY 25 – FP3 AND QUALIFYING
Conditions: Same kind of weather as Friday. Partly cloudy start, set to become cloudier and unsettled from FP3. Showers developing inland in the afternoon. One or two showers, possibly heavy. Light sea breeze. FP3: 20°C // Q: 21°C
Maximum temperature expected: 15 Celsius
Minimum temperature expected: 20 Celsius
