‘Who’d have thought we'd have an F1 movie with Brad Pitt?’ – Behind the scenes of the New York premiere of ‘F1 The Movie’
F1.com's Lawrence Barretto reports back from the red carpet at the world premiere of F1 The Movie in New York's Times Square.


It was the morning after the day before in Canada and traditionally, Formula 1's drivers and their team principals would already be back home in their own beds.
But this year was a little different as most of them were at Montreal Trudeau International Airport with a boarding pass that would send them a short hop to New York City for the world premiere of F1 The Movie.
A group of them – including championship contender Lando Norris, Ollie Bearman and Nico Hulkenberg – travelled together along with CEO Stefano Domenicali on a special Qatar Airways charter plane, which was dressed with special movie memorabilia including bespoke boarding passes, popcorn boxes – with sweet and savoury options – and a vinyl of the movie soundtrack.
