With real-life Formula 1 racing on hold, F1 has launched the new Esports Virtual Grand Prix series featuring a number of current F1 drivers competing on Codemasters' brilliant F1 2019 game.
The virtual races will run in place of every postponed Grand Prix, and the series kicked off with the Bahrain Virtual Grand Prix in March. Every subsequent race weekend will see the postponed real-world Formula 1 race replaced with a Virtual Grand Prix, with the initiative currently scheduled to run until May, though this may be extended if the coronavirus pandemic results in further Grand Prix cancellations/postponements.
On F1 Fan Voice we'll be running a Predictor Game for the new series, and for every Virtual Grand Prix you will have the chance to win a pair of General Admission tickets to a 2020 or 2021 race of your choice if you are the highest scorer.
There will be a leaderboard which will be updated after each race – the winner at the end of the virtual series will win a pair of one-day Paddock Pass tickets to a Grand Prix race day of their choice.
Ahead of each virtual race we'll ask you to predict a range of race outcomes such as the winning team, fastest lap, number of non-finishers and the winning car amongst other things. For every race there will be five questions and you have until midnight on the day before the race to submit your predictions.
The next Virtual Grand Prix is taking place this Sunday on the Albert Park track, and you can enter your predictions now on www.f1fanvoice.com, up until the day before the race.
Good luck!
