Friday weather update - will it or won’t it? 22 Oct 2004
Opinions remain divided on the weather here in Interlagos this weekend, as Brazil hosts the 18th and final round of the FIA Formula One World Championship.
As forecast, it was overcast yesterday with smatterings of rain, and that’s what is expected again today and tomorrow, with ambient temperature highs of 23 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
The big concern is whether a thunderstorm will arrive on Sunday or Monday. Rubens Barrichello, who was of course born in Sao Paulo, is of the opinion that it won’t actually rain on raceday, but admits he only has a gut feeling on the matter. The official forecasts say it will, so it remains a case of wait and see.
