Sauber call off Malaysian launch - updated 04 Jan 2005
Sauber have cancelled the planned unveiling of their new car in Kuala Lumpur following the recent disaster in South East Asia.
The C24 was due to debut in the Malaysian capital on January 11 as part of celebrations intended to mark Petronas’ ten-year Formula One presence.
However, after the recent tragedy in the area, the team have opted to call off the launch as a mark of respect to the victims and their families.
The Sauber C24 is now expected to make its first public appearance in a three-day test session at Jerez starting on January 14.
