Bad weather halts Silverstone testing 22 Feb 2005
Freezing temperatures and intermittent snow showers prevented any meaningful running at Silverstone on Monday, where Renault, Red Bull and Jordan planned to begin their final pre-season tests.
The circuit remained closed for much of the day. In the afternoon Franck Montagny got in three laps for Renault to conduct systems checks. David Coulthard managed a single installation lap for Red Bull, while Jordan did not run.
Jordan and Renault are expected to stay on at Silverstone for Tuesday in the hope that conditions will improve. Montagny is scheduled to get his first full run in the Renault R25 and Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella are due to join him to carry out pit-stop practice.
