Doornbos to drop ten places on grid 21 Oct 2006
Red Bull driver Robert Doornbos will be demoted ten places on the grid for Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos after the team decided to change the engine on his car.
Doornbos finished Friday practice a lowly 28th in the times after experiencing technical problems on his Ferrari-engined RB2 and further investigations have prompted Red Bull to install a fresh V8 ahead of Saturday’s sessions.
This weekend’s race is set to be Doornbos’s last Grand Prix outing for the foreseeable future. David Coulthard and Mark Webber will form Red Bull’s 2007 race line-up.
