Testing on two fronts for Ferrari 15 Sep 2006
Ferrari had cars in action in both France and Italy on Thursday, as they completed this weeks testing schedule in preparation for the next round of the world championship, the Chinese Grand Prix.
At both the Paul Ricard track and the teams home Fiorano circuit, the day's technical programme centred intensively on Bridgestone tyre development, aimed not just at the Shanghai race but on all three remaining 2006 rounds.
Michael Schumacher was on duty at Paul Ricard, where he completed 185 laps of the 2A-SC version of the circuit, the quickest in a time of 1m 01.267s. And at Fiorano, it was Felipe Massa at the wheel. The Brazilian covered 134 laps, 15 of them on the short version of the track, with a best of 1m 03.364s.
