Ferrari party gets underway at Mugello
|
Newly-crowned champion Kimi Raikkonen and team mate Felipe Massa will visit the Mugello circuit in Italy on Sunday, as Ferrari celebrate the end of another highly successful motor racing season with their traditional World Finals event.
The finals got underway on Thursday with practice and qualifying for various Ferrari one-make series, featuring both contemporary and historic machinery. Racing will continue over the weekend to determine both national and international champions.
There will also be the chance for spectators to admire in action the Formula One cars prepared by Ferraris F1 Clienti - or customer - department. The finale of the weekend will be a parade featuring Raikkonen, Massa and the entire Ferrari Formula One team, as they mark their triumphs in both the 2007 drivers and constructors championships.
Ferrari, the company, are also celebrating their 60th birthday this year, hence Sundays festivities will also feature demonstrations of the Italian marques cars spanning the past six decades.
