Super Aguri pull out of Barcelona test
|
Super Aguri have announced they will not be attending this weeks Formula One test session at Barcelonas Circuit de Catalunya due to undisclosed circumstances beyond their control.
The Japanese team had originally planned to launch their 2008 car at the test. However, this was called off last week, when the media were instead promised a question and answer session with boss Aguri Suzuki and technical director Mark Preston. This too has now been cancelled.
Super Aguri F1 Team will not be participating at the test in Barcelona this week due to circumstances beyond our control, confirmed a team statement on Monday. We are planning to attend the test at the Circuit de Catalunya next week with two cars. We would like to apologise to our colleagues in the media who had made arrangements to attend our Q&A tomorrow.
Super Aguris absence in Spain will come as a further blow to what has already been a rather limited winter test programme for the Honda-powered squad. The team now look unlikely to unveil their final driver line-up, livery and sponsorship package until the season opener in Australia next month.
