Red Bull driver Mark Webber is being honoured by his home country’s postal service with a special set of stamps to commemorate the Australian’s maiden Formula One win in the recent German Grand Prix.

Australia Post is to issue special 55-cent stamps featuring three different images of Webber - one of him smiling on the podium, one on the grid in his winning RB5, and one close-up of his helmet.

Webber’s triumph came in his 130th Grand Prix start and made him only the third Australian to win in Formula One racing, following in the footsteps of former world champions Jack Brabham and Alan Jones.
