Rosberg gearbox penalty compounds Mercedes woes 28 Aug 2010
Mercedes GP’s Nico Rosberg will drop five places on the grid for Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix due to an unscheduled gearbox change on his car.
The team switched to a new box after problems for Rosberg following Saturday’s final practice session at Spa-Francorchamps.
It is a bitter blow for Mercedes GP, as Rosberg’s team mate Michael Schumacher already has a ten-place penalty for his clash with Williams’ Rubens Barrichello in the closing laps of the previous round in Hungary.
