With limited pre-season track time available, Formula One tests are usually hectic affairs. Drivers are so focused on their preparations they barely have enough time for a bite of lunch before they’re back out on circuit racking up the laps in their new cars. But during last week’s four-day test at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya, a host of Formula One stars took a break to wish Renault’s Robert Kubica a speedy recovery following his recent rally accident.

Amongst the famous faces featured on the ‘get well soon’ video are Williams’ Rubens Barrichello, Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber, Mercedes GP’s Michael Schumacher, Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso and McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button. Several teams and drivers had already sent their best wishes to Kubica by running messages of support on their helmets and car liveries.

The Polish driver remains under observation at the Santa Corona Hospital following the crash during the Ronde di Andora Rally. Since the February accident, he has undergone three bouts of surgery repairing serious injuries to his right forearm, foot, shoulder, humerus, and elbow and was recently transferred from intensive care into the hospital’s rehabilitation department.

Kubica is expected to miss much of the 2011 season and has already been replaced in Renault’s line-up for the foreseeable future by former BMW Sauber team mate Nick Heidfeld, who will take to the grid at the Australian season opener alongside Russian driver Vitaly Petrov.
