Williams FW31 - rear brake ducts 01 November 2009
This season brake ducts have became more and more like aerodynamic devices. Examples can be seen in Abu Dhabi on the Williams, with these two little wings (1) attached to a vertical fin, and two vortex controllers (2) attached to the long endplates of the diffuser. This trend is likely to increase next year, when narrower front tyres will make for a wider air channel between chassis and tyres at the front of the car.
