Formula 1 Mercedes Unlocked Competition (the “Competition”)

Terms and Conditions

We are Formula One Digital Media Limited of No. 2 St James’s Market, London, SW1Y 4AH (“we”, “us”, “our”, and the “Promoter”). We and our group companies own the exclusive right to commercialise the FIA Formula One World Championship® in all media. We are the promoter of the Competition.

You”, “your”, and the “participant” means the individual entering the Competition.

By entering the Competition, you accept these Competition rules (the “Rules”).

For the avoidance of doubt, the terms of use of formula1.com shall apply to your use of formula1.com.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS REQUIRED TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. WHO CAN ENTER THE COMPETITION

1.1 Subject to Paragraph 5.1 below, this Competition is only open to entrants who:

a) are aged 18 and above;

b) have access to the internet and an F1 Unlocked account or F1.com account (and such account has a valid verified email address connected with it);

c) are residents of the UK, EU, or USA and other territories where its operation and the Prize(s) are permitted (where operation of this Competition is not permitted by applicable law or regulation, this Competition shall not be operated and residents of such jurisdictions are not permitted to enter); and

d) where the Prize involves attendance at an event, be able to legally enter the country where the relevant event is being held (for the avoidance of doubt, if a visa and/or a valid passport are necessary for you to legally enter the country, you must be (i) eligible to obtain a visa; and (ii) hold a valid passport).

1.2 The Competition is not open to:

a) employees, contractors or agents of the Promoter, their group companies or family members, freelance contributors, anyone else connected to the Competition and their family members;

b) public officials (as defined by applicable laws, statutes and regulations relating to bribery and corruption, including but not limited to the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 and the UK Bribery Act 2010) and anyone connected to them; and

c) residents of any countries subject to USA, UK or EU sanctions, including for example residents of Russia and Belarus; and

d) are available to attend the FORMULA 1 PIRELLI GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA 2025, participate in the Prize experiences at the FORMULA 1 PIRELLI GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA 2025 and pass all appropriate accreditation checks by us.

1.3 In entering the Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so in accordance with Paragraphs 1.1 and 1.2. We may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Competition.

2. HOW TO ENTER

Round One

2.1 Round One of the Competition will run from 15:30 BST (local time, London UK) 4 August 2025 (the "Opening Date") to 14:00 BST (local time, London UK) 14 August 2025 (the "Closing Date") inclusive. Entries received outside this time period are void and will not be considered.

2.2 In order to enter the Competition you must, prior to the Closing Date:

a) visit the Competition webpage at https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/f1-unlocked-mercedes-competition.6iKMFYkWsMAYSxX20PBqXh;

b) sign in to your (or create an) F1 Unlocked or F1.com account; and

c) submit the following details: (i) your favourite driver, (ii) your favourite team; and (iii) what interests you the most about Formula 1 on the Competition webpage,
(“Round One”).

2.3 After the Closing Date, thirty (30) entrants will be randomly selected from all valid entries received via Round One (the “Finalists”). A second group of thirty (30) entrants will be randomly selected to become a Finalist in the case of disqualification of an original Finalist. The odds of being drawn as a Finalist will depend on the number of entries received. The draw will be performed by a random computer process. The draw will take place at our offices at No. 2 St James’s Market, London, SW1Y 4AH no later than 14 August 2025.

2.4 The Finalists will be notified that they have been selected to proceed to Round Two by email by 14 August 2025.

Round Two

2.5 Finalists will be asked to submit a photograph and/or video of up to one minute and thirty seconds in duration (1’30”), demonstrating their passion for Formula 1 and the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team via email by 23:59 BST (local time, London UK) on 17 August 2025 (being “Deadline 1”) (“Round Two”). Where a Finalist chooses to submit a video, such video should be submitted in .MP4 or .MOV format only with a maximum file size of 20MB. Any videos received with a longer duration shall be disqualified and will not be reviewed by the judges.

2.6 Where you choose to submit a video, to show your passion for Formula 1 and the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, you may wish to tell us:

a) a little about yourself;

b) why you're a Formula1 fan;

c) why you’re a Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team fan; and

d) why you would like to win this Prize and who you would bring as your guest and why.

2.7 If a Finalist fails to submit a photograph and/or video by Deadline 1, the Finalist will be disqualified and a replacement entrant from the second group will be contacted to become a Finalist on 18 August 2025. Such replacement shall be asked to participate in Round Two by submitting a photograph and/or video as set out in Paragraph 2.5 above by 23:59 BST (local time, London UK) on 20 August 2025 (“Deadline 2”).

2.8 Each Finalist acknowledges that by submitting a photograph and/or video as part of this Competition, the photograph and/or video will become our property on receipt and will not be returned. By submitting your entry, you warrant that your entry is your own original creation and has not been copied from any other persons and that any videos or photographs submitted are of yourself, and you agree to:

a) assign absolutely to us all your intellectual property rights held in your entry with full title guarantee; and

b) waive absolutely all moral rights, in and to and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.

2.9 For the avoidance of doubt, by entering this Competition, Finalists agree for their photograph and/or video shared as part of their entry to be used on the Promoter’s social media channels and in marketing and advertising materials.

2.10 Entries must not contain material that:

a) is inappropriate, offensive, indecent, obscene, hateful, defamatory, derogatory or anything similar;

b) promotes irresponsible or excessive drinking; or

c) may promote bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or that may promote discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity or age.

2.11 If you are a Finalist, you acknowledge that other entrants may have submitted ideas and concepts as part of Round Two that may be similar to your entry, and that you will not be entitled to any compensation or right to negotiation with us over such matters.

2.12 You confirm that all information supplied (including personal details) by you in your entry to Round One or otherwise provided (including, for Finalists as part of Round Two) is truthful, accurate, complete and in no way misleading. We reserve the right to disqualify you if you have supplied untruthful, inaccurate, misleading or incomplete personal details and/or information in your entry. The entry must not (a) be incomplete or illegible; (b) infringe the intellectual property or other rights of a third party; or (c) be unlawful, defamatory, abusive, insulting, threatening, obscene, inflammatory, offensive or otherwise contain content that we determine (in our sole discretion) to be inappropriate or objectionable.

2.13 No purchase is necessary to enter the Competition and purchase of any item does not enhance your chance of winning.

2.15 Only one (1) entry per person and per email address is permitted. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. The winner shall be the named respondent on the randomly selected winning entry. Any attempt to enter more than one (1) time by use of multiple names, email accounts, or any other means is grounds for disqualification.

2.16 We accept no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of submission or delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt.

3. HOW THE WINNER IS SELECTED

3.1 A panel of three (3) of our judges will review each of the eligible Finalists Round One and Round Two submissions and select the Finalist that they deem represents Formula 1 and Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team’s most passionate fan no later than 25 August 2025. If you would like to request the details of the judges, please email us within one (1) month of the Closing Date.

3.2 There shall be one (1) winner and they shall be entitled to receive the Prize (defined in Paragraph 4 below).

3.3 The winner will be notified that they have won by email (to the email address connected to their F1.com or F1 Unlocked account) no later than 25 August 2025 and provided further details as to how they will be able to claim their Prize. You must have a valid email address connected to your F1 or F1 Unlocked account at the time of entering Round One of the Competition. Any entry received without a valid email address will be void and you will not be eligible to win any Prize. All personal data provided by you when entering the Competition will be processed in accordance with our privacy policy as per Paragraph 5.2.

3.4 To accept the Prize, the winner must respond sufficiently with all other information requested by us within two (2) days of being notified of their win, and satisfy all appropriate accreditation processes required by us. If the winner does not comply with this Paragraph 3.4, they forfeit the Prize, and we reserve the right to select another winner in place of them in accordance with these Rules.

3.5 The decisions of the judges regarding any aspect of the Competition are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered in to regarding it.

3.6 Proof that a valid winner was awarded can be obtained after the date of the Competition here.

4. THE PRIZE

4.1 Provided that the winner complies with these Rules and participates in the Competition to our satisfaction, they will be entitled to receive the one (1) Grand prize available, comprising the following items (collectively, the “Prize”):

a) one (1) pair of FORMULA 1 PIRELLI GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA 2025 Paddock Club tickets for the Mercedes AMG Petronas Paddock Club Suite for 5-7 September 2025;

b) a garage and viewing gallery experience at the FORMULA 1 PIRELLI GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA 2025;

c) two (2) economy class round-trip plane tickets for the winner and their one (1) accompanying guest from the most suitable (as determined by us) international airport located within the winner’s country of residence (the “Airport”) to Milan (“Milan”). Winner and winner’s guest must travel on the same itinerary and make all travel arrangements through us; all travel accommodations are subject to availability. Winner and the winner’s guest must possess all necessary documents for travel. The flight from the Airport to Milan will land in Milan on or around 4 September 2025 and the flight from Milan to the Airport will depart on or around 8 September 2025 (together, the “Flights”);

d) four (4) nights hotel accommodation (based on sharing/twin occupancy) near the circuit for the winner and their accompanying one (1) guest from 4 September 2025 to 8 September 2025 inclusive. Selection of hotel in our discretion and subject to availability; major credit card will be required upon check-in to cover any incidental charges; (together, the “Hotel”); and

e) Return private transfers between the winner’s hotel and the circuit each day from 5-7 September 2025.
The part of the Prize as described at Paragraph 4.1(a) and (b) shall be provided by Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Limited (trading as Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team) and the remaining parts of the Prize as described at Paragraph 4.1(c) to (e) inclusive shall be provided by us.

4.2 The Prize listed in Paragraph 4.1 above consists of the Prize only and does not include any additional associated costs or expenses not specifically listed, including tickets to the FORMULA 1 PIRELLI GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA 2025 (other than the Mercedes AMG Petronas Paddock Club Suite tickets), insurance, the cost of transfers to and from any airports, stations or ports, food and drink, spending money, or personal expenses.

4.3 Any costs incurred by the winner and/or their accompanying guest that are incidental to the fulfilment of the Prize are the responsibility of the winner and/or their nominated guest. We accept no responsibility for any costs associated with the Prize that are not expressly included in Paragraph 4.1 above.

4.4 The winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes, including customs duty, levies and/or other import fees to which any Prize may be subject, and any taxes imposed on their income.

4.5 The approximate retail value for the Prize is as follows:

a) One (1) pair of FORMULA 1 PIRELLI GRAN PREMIO D’ITALIA 2025 Paddock Club tickets for the Mercedes AMG Petronas Paddock Club Suite are valued at $16,000 (SIXTEEN THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS) plus 22% VAT for the pair;

b) Return private transfers between the winner’s hotel and the circuit each day from 5-7 September 2025 are valued at £750 (SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY GREAT BRITISH POUNDS);

c) As the garage tour and viewing gallery experience is not generally available for purchase, we do not consider it to have any retail value; and

d) In relation to the Flights and Hotel (as specified in Paragraph 4.1 (c) and (d)) the value will vary depending on the flights and accommodation available at the time of booking.

4.6 The winner’s nominated guest must: (a) be aged 18 and above; and (b) pass our accreditation conditions.

4.7 The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other prize. Any difference between actual value and a variable value noted above will not be awarded.

4.8 We reserve the right to substitute the Prize (or any part of the Prize) with an alternative of similar value in the event that the original Prize offered is not available. No responsibility is assumed for cancellation or postponement of the Event or any other Prize-related activities due to causes beyond our control. In the event of any such cancellation or postponement the remaining portion(s) of the Prize will be awarded as the complete award to the winner.

4.9 The Prize as set out above and awarded to the winner shall not be used or dealt with in any way that is incompatible with any applicable laws, statutes and regulations relating to bribery and corruption, including but not limited to the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act 1977 and the UK Bribery Act 2010, and the winner hereby acknowledges and agrees that no Prize (including the Mercedes AMG Petronas Paddock Club Suite tickets) issued pursuant to the these Rules may be sold or offered for sale or other form of reward or incentive to any third party.

5. PUBLICITY AND YOUR DATA

5.1 The winner consents to the use by us and our related companies, and Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Limited (trading as Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team), both before and after the Closing Date of the Competition for an unlimited time, of the winner’s voice, still and moving images and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by us and our related companies) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Competition, you consent to the same. Residents of Tennessee or any other U.S. state or other jurisdiction in which it is unlawful to require agreement to a perpetual publicity release as a condition of winning a Prize shall not be bound by this Paragraph 5.1 to the extent it is lawful.

5.2 We will use and take care of any personal information you supply in entering this Competition as described in our privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at https://account.formula1.com/#/en/privacy-policy, and any other privacy policies we may provide to you from time to time. The information supplied by you in the associated entry form will be used as described on the entry form. Where a Prize is provided by a third party, you may be asked to provide your details to such third party in order for that third party to deliver your Prize.

5.3 Where you have consented to receive marketing communications from any person other than us, your details may be passed to such person(s) and organisation(s) that you have consented to receiving marketing communications from.

6. MISCELLANEOUS

6.1 We (and our related companies) accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Competition or accepting the Prize(s). We (and our related companies) further disclaims any liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition save to the extent that such liability results from (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (ii) our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other reason or by any cause which cannot be excluded by law.

6.2 We reserve the right at any time and from time to time to modify, discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside our reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud); provided that in such circumstances, we will endeavour, to the extent reasonably possible, to award the Prize in a fair and equitable manner among any entries received not affected by the problem.

6.3 We (and our related companies) shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations relating to this Competition where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, epidemic, pandemic, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

6.4 The Competition and these Rules are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them is subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts. However, you may have statutory or legal rights in the territory where you live which could apply to your entry in the Competition.
