Terms and Conditions

We are Formula One Digital Media Limited of No. 2 St James’s Market, London, SW1Y 4AH (“we”, “us”, “our”, and the “Promoter”). We and our group companies own the exclusive right to commercialise the FIA Formula One World Championship® in all media. We are the promoter of the Prize Draws.

“You”, “your”, and the “participant” means the individual entering a Prize Draw.

These terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) apply to each of the following chequered flag square 2025 prize draws (individually a “Prize Draw” and collectively the “Prize Draws”):

• FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE LA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO 2025 – Chequered Flag Prize Draw
• FORMULA 1 MSC CRUISES GRANDE PRÊMIO DE SÃO PAULO 2025 – Chequered Flag Prize Draw
• FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX 2025 – Chequered Flag Prize Draw
• FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS QATAR GRAND PRIX 2025 – Chequered Flag Prize Draw
• FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX 2025 – Chequered Flag Prize Draw

By entering a Prize Draw you accept these Terms and Conditions.

For the avoidance of doubt, the terms of use of formula1.com shall apply to your use of formula1.com.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS REQUIRED TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. WHO CAN ENTER THE PRIZE DRAW

1.1 Subject to Paragraph 5.1 below, each Prize Draw is only open to entrants who:

a) are aged 18 and above;

b) have access to the internet and an F1 Unlocked account or F1.com account (and such account has a valid verified email address connected with it);

c) are residents of the UK, EU, or USA and other territories where its operation and the Prize(s) are permitted (where operation of the Prize Draws are not permitted by applicable law or regulation, the Prize Draws shall not be operated and residents of such jurisdictions are not permitted to enter); and

d) where the Prize involves attendance at an event, be able to legally enter the country where the relevant event is being held (for the avoidance of doubt, if a visa and/or a valid passport are necessary for you to legally enter the country, you must be (i) eligible to obtain a visa; and (ii) hold a valid passport).

1.2 Each Prize Draw is not open to:

a) employees, contractors or agents of the Promoter, their group companies or family members, freelance contributors, anyone else connected to a Prize Draw and their family members;

b) public officials (as defined by applicable laws, statutes and regulations relating to bribery and corruption, including but not limited to the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 and the UK Bribery Act 2010) and anyone connected to them; and

c) residents of any countries subject to USA, UK or EU sanctions, including for example residents of Russia and Belarus.

1.3 In entering a Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so in accordance with Paragraphs 1.1 and 1.2. We may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter a Prize Draw.

2. HOW TO ENTER

2.1 Each of the Prize Draws will run in accordance with the following table from the "Opening Date" to the "Closing Date" inclusive. Entries received outside this time period are void and will not be eligible to win any Prize. 

2.2 In order to enter a Prize Draw you must, prior to the Closing Date:

a) visit the Prize Draw webpage at https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/f1-unlocked-own-a-piece-of-the-chequered-flag.3ODKJy8JYqn28LsXuIz1Ye or at https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/f1-unlocked-monthly.3dAvb0zMmjt7ssvVPDMLzk

b) sign in to your (or create an) F1 Unlocked or F1.com account; and

c) submit the following details: (i) your favourite driver; and (ii) your favourite team, on the Prize Draw webpage.

2.3 The winners of each Prize Draw will be contacted via email. You must provide a valid email address at the time of entering the Prize Draw. Any entry received without a valid email address will be void and you will not be eligible to win any Prize. All personal data provided by you when entering a Prize Draw will be processed in accordance with our privacy policy as per Paragraph 5.2.

2.4 No purchase is necessary to enter a Prize Draw and purchase of any item does not enhance your chance of winning.

2.5 If you have any questions about how to enter or otherwise in connection with a Prize Draw, please email us at fanexperiences@f1.com with “Chequered Flag Square Prize Draw 2025 Prize Draw” in the subject line. Please specify the relevant Grand Prix as set out in 2.1 above in the subject line or in your email.

2.6 Only one (1) entry per person and per email address is permitted per prize draw. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. The winner shall be the named respondent on the randomly selected winning entry. Any attempt to enter a Prize Draw more than one (1) time by use of multiple names, email accounts, or any other means is grounds for disqualification.

2.7 We accept no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of submission or delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt.

3. PRIZES

3.1 Provided that the winner of each Prize Draw complies with these Terms and Conditions, they will each be entitled to receive one (1) square from the chequered flag of the event corresponding to the prize they entered, with the name of the relevant winner printed on the square (each a “Prize” and together the “Prizes”) which will be provided by BG Sports Enterprises Ltd t/a “Memento Exclusives” (“F1® Authentics”).  For each Prize, the name of the relevant winner displayed on the square will be the name linked to the winner’s F1 Unlocked or F1.com account. The Prizes will include the cost of postage.   

3.2 The Prizes listed in Paragraph 3.1 above consists of the Prizes only and does not include any associated costs or expenses not specifically listed. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the Prizes are the responsibility of the winners. We accept no responsibility for any costs associated with the Prizes that are not expressly included in Paragraph 3.1 above.

3.3 The winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, including customs duty, levies and/or other import fees to which any Prize may be subject, and any taxes imposed on their income.

3.4 The approximate retail value for each Prize is as follows:

3.5 All Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other prize. Any difference between actual value and a variable value noted above will not be awarded.

3.6 We reserve the right to substitute the Prizes (or any part of the Prizes with an alternative of similar value in the event that the original Prizes offered are not available. No responsibility is assumed for cancellation or postponement of an event or any other Prize-related activities due to causes beyond our control. In the event of any such cancellation or postponement the remaining portion(s) of the Prizes will be awarded as the complete award to the winner.

3.7 The Prizes as set out above and awarded to the winner shall not be used or dealt with in any way that is incompatible with any applicable laws, statutes and regulations relating to bribery and corruption, including but not limited to the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act 1977 and the UK Bribery Act 2010, and the winner hereby acknowledges and agrees that no Prize issued pursuant to the these Terms and Conditions may be sold or offered for sale or other form of reward or incentive to any third party.

4. WINNER

4.1. There shall be ten (10) winners per prize draw for the FORMULA 1 MSC CRUISES UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX 2025 – Chequered Flag Prize Draw, FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE LA CIUDAD DE MÉXICO 2025 – Chequered Flag Prize Draw, FORMULA 1 MSC CRUISES GRANDE PRÊMIO DE SÃO PAULO 2025 – Chequered Flag Prize Draw, and FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS QATAR GRAND PRIX 2025 – Chequered Flag Prize Draw. There shall be six (6) winners per prize draw for the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX 2025 – Chequered Flag Prize Draw, and the FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX 2025 – Chequered Flag Prize Draw. There will be a total of fifty-nine (52) winners accros the Prize Draws. To determine the winners, a random draw from all entries received in accordance with these Terms and Conditions shall take place for each Prize Draw for the Prizes listed at Paragraph 3.1. The odds of winning will depend on the number of entries received.

4.2 Each draw will be performed by a random computer process. The draws will take place at our offices at No. 2 St James’s Market, London, SW1Y 4AH no later than as follows:

4.3 The winners will be notified that they have won (but may be notified later if selected in accordance with Paragraphs 4.4 and 4.5 below) by email no later than as follows and provided further details as to how they will be able to claim their Prizes.

4.4 If a winner does not respond to us and/or take reasonable steps to follow our instructions on how to claim their Prize within seven (7) days of being notified of their win and provided with such instructions, the winner’s Prize will be forfeited and we shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will also have to respond to notification of their win and/or take reasonable steps to follow our instructions on how to claim their Prize within seven (7) days of notification or provision of instructions or else they will also forfeit their Prize.

4.5 If a winner rejects their Prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winner’s Prize will be forfeited and we shall be entitled to select another winner.

4.6 The decisions of the judges regarding any aspect of the Prize Draws is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered in to.

4.7 Proof that a valid winner was awarded can be obtained after the date of the Prize Draws here.

5. PUBLICITY AND YOUR DATA

5.1 Each winner consents to the use by us, our related companies, and F1® Authentics, both before and after the Closing Date of each Prize Draw for an unlimited time, of the winner’s voice, still and moving images and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by us and our related companies) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering a Prize Draw, you consent to the same. Residents of Tennessee or any other U.S. state or other jurisdiction in which it is unlawful to require agreement to a perpetual publicity release as a condition of winning a Prize shall not be bound by this Paragraph 5.1 to the extent it is lawful.

5.2 We will use and take care of any personal information you supply in entering a Prize Draw as described in our privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at https://account.formula1.com/#/en/privacy-policy, and any other privacy policies we may provide to you from time to time. The information supplied by you in the associated entry form will be used as described on the entry form. Where a Prize is provided by a third party, you may be asked to provide your details to such third party in order for that third party to deliver your Prize.

5.3 Where you have consented to receive marketing communications from any person other than us, your details may be passed to such person(s) and organisation(s) that you have consented to receiving marketing communications from.

6. MISCELLANEOUS

6.1 We (and our related companies) accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering a Prize Draw or accepting a Prize. We (and our related companies) further disclaims any liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with a Prize Draw save to the extent that such liability results from (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (ii) our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other reason or by any cause which cannot be excluded by law.

6.2 We reserve the right at any time and from time to time to modify, discontinue, temporarily or permanently, a Prize Draw with or without prior notice due to reasons outside our reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud); provided that in such circumstances, we will endeavour, to the extent reasonably possible, to award the Prizes in a fair and equitable manner among any entries received not affected by the problem.

6.3 We (and our related companies) shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations relating to the Prize Draws where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, epidemic, pandemic, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.

6.4 The Prize Draws and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them is subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts. However, you may have statutory or legal rights in the territory where you live which could apply to your entry in a Prize Draw.
