FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS BRITISH GRAND PRIX 2025 Reaction Challenge Competition (the “Competition”)
Terms and Conditions
We are Formula One Digital Media Limited of No. 2 St James’s Market, London, SW1Y 4AH (“we”, “us”, “our”, and the “Promoter”). We and our group companies own the exclusive right to commercialise the FIA Formula One World Championship® in all media. We are the promoter of the Competition.
“You”, “your”, and the “participant” means the individual entering the Competition.
By entering the Competition you accept these terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”).
For the avoidance of doubt, the terms of use of formula1.com shall apply to your use of formula1.com.
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT IS REQUIRED TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. WHO CAN ENTER THE COMPETITION
1.1 Subject to Paragraph 5.1 below, this Competition is only open to entrants who:
(a) are aged 18 and above;
(b) have taken part in the Silverstone Fan Zone F1 Unlocked Reaction Challenge, being a competition to see who can press the “Lights Out” button the fastest when the five lights turn green (the “Challenge”);
(c) have registered per the process described in Paragraph 2.2(b) below;
(d) are residents of the UK, EU, or USA and other territories where its operation and the Prize are permitted (where operation of this Competition is not permitted by applicable law or regulation, this Competition shall not be operated and residents of such jurisdictions are not permitted to enter); and
(e) where the Prize involves attendance at an event, are able to legally enter the country where the relevant event is being held (for the avoidance of doubt, if a visa and/or a valid passport are necessary for you to legally enter the country, you must be (i) eligible to obtain a visa; and (ii) hold a valid passport).
1.2 The Competition is not open to:
(a) employees, contractors or agents of the Promoter, their group companies or family members, freelance contributors, anyone else connected to the Competition and their family members;
(b) public officials (as defined by applicable laws, statutes and regulations relating to bribery and corruption, including but not limited to the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 and the UK Bribery Act 2010) and anyone connected to them; and
(c) residents of any countries subject to USA, UK or EU sanctions, including for example residents of Russia and Belarus.
1.3 In entering the Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so in accordance with Paragraphs 1.1 and 1.2. We may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Competition.
2. HOW TO ENTER
2.1 The Competition will run from 11.00am BST (local time in London, UK) on Thursday 3rd July 2025 (the “Opening Date”) to 18.00pm BST (local time in London, UK) on Sunday 6th July 2025 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive. Entries received outside this time period are void and will not be eligible to win any Prize.
2.2 In order to enter the Competition you must, prior to the Closing Date:
(a) visit the Challenge in the Fan Zone at the FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS BRITISH GRAND PRIX 2025;
(b) complete the registration form, submitting the following information:
(i) title;
(ii) name;
(iii) valid email address;
(iv) date of birth (optional);
(v) gender (optional);
(vi) country of residence (optional);
(vii) favourite driver;
(viii) favourite constructor;
(ix) marketing communication opt-in (optional); and
(c) participate in the Challenge.
2.3 The winner shall be the entrant who achieves the fastest reaction time in the Challenge between the Opening Date and the Closing Date. The winner of the Competition will be contacted via email. You must provide a valid email address at the time of entering the Competition. Any entry received without a valid email address will be void and you will not be eligible to win any Prize. All personal data provided by you when entering the Competition will be processed in accordance with our privacy policy as per Paragraph 5.2.
2.4 No purchase is necessary to enter the Competition and purchase of any item does not enhance your chance of winning.

2.6 Only one (1) entry per person and per email address is permitted. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed. Any attempt to enter more than one (1) time by use of multiple names, email accounts, or any other means is grounds for disqualification.
2.7 We accept no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of submission or delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt.
3. PRIZE
3.1 Provided that the winner complies with these Terms and Conditions, they will be entitled to receive the following prizes, which will be provided by us (collectively, the “Prize”):
(a) two (2) 3-day grandstand tickets to one (1) of the following Formula 1 Grands Prix in 2026: Barcelona, Madrid, Austria, United Kingdom, Belgium, Hungary, Netherlands OR Italy (Monza). Both tickets must be for the same Grand Prix and are subject to availability. Where the grandstand tickets for the winner’s preferred Grand Prix from the above list are not available for any reason, the winner shall be asked for their second, third etc. preference until grandstand tickets for a Grand Prix from the above list have been found;
(b) two (2) nights hotel accommodation (based on sharing/twin occupancy) in the chosen Grand Prix destination for the winner and their accompanying one (1) guest. The selection of the hotel is in our discretion and subject to availability. A major credit card will be required upon check-in to cover any incidental charges; and
(c) two (2) economy class round-trip plane tickets for the winner and their one (1) accompanying guest from the most suitable (as determined by us) airport located within the winner’s country of residence to the Grand Prix destination of their choice (to the airport the most suitable, as determined by us). The winner and the winner’s guest must travel on the same itinerary and make all travel arrangements through us. All travel accommodations are subject to availability. Winner and the winner’s guest must possess all necessary documents for travel.
3.2 The Prize listed in Paragraph 3.1 above consists of the Prize only and does not include any associated costs or expenses not specifically listed. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the Prize are the responsibility of the winner. We accept no responsibility for any costs associated with the Prize that are not expressly included in Paragraph 3.1 above.
3.3 The winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes, including customs duty, levies and/or other import fees to which any Prize may be subject, and any taxes imposed on their income.
3.4 The approximate retail value for the Prize is as follows:
(a) US$2,000 (TWO THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS) for two (2) three-day grandstand tickets for a Formula 1 Grand Prix in 2026, as specified in Paragraph 3.1(a) above;
(b) US$1,000 (ONE THOUSAND UNITED STATES DOLLARS) for two (2) nights hotel accommodation for two (2) persons (based on sharing/twin occupancy), as specified in Paragraph 3.1(b) above, provided this value may vary depending on the accommodation available at the time of booking; and
(c) US$1,500 (ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED UNITES STATES DOLLARS) for two (2) economy class round-trip plane tickets, as specified in Paragraph 3.1(c) above, provided this value may vary depending on the flights available at the time of booking.
3.5 The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or any other prize. Any difference between actual value and a variable value noted above will not be awarded.
3.6 We reserve the right to substitute the Prize (or any part of the Prize) with an alternative of similar value in the event that the original Prize offered is not available. No responsibility is assumed for cancellation or postponement of an event, the Challenge, or any other Prize-related activities due to causes beyond our control. In the event of any such cancellation or postponement the remaining portion(s) of the Prize will be awarded as the complete award to the winner.
3.7 The Prize as set out above and awarded to the winner shall not be used or dealt with in any way that is incompatible with any applicable laws, statutes and regulations relating to bribery and corruption, including but not limited to the United States Foreign Corrupt Practices Act 1977 and the UK Bribery Act 2010, and the winner hereby acknowledges and agrees that no Prize issued pursuant to these Terms and Conditions may be sold or offered for sale or other form of reward or incentive to any third party.
4. WINNER
4.1 There shall be only one (1) winner. The winner shall be the entrant who achieves the fastest reaction time in the Challenge between the Opening Date and the Closing Date.
4.2 In the event of a tie (identical reaction time in the Challenge), the winner shall be the named entrant on the randomly selected winning entry from those entrants with an identical reaction time in the Challenge. The odds of winning where there is such a tie will depend on the number of entries with an identical reaction time. Where there is such a tie, a draw will be performed by a random computer process and will take place online no later than Friday 11th July 2025.
4.3 The winner will be notified that they have won (but may be notified later if selected in accordance with Paragraphs 4.4 and 4.5 below) by email no later than Monday 14th July 2025 and provided further details as to how they will be able to claim their Prize. Anyone participating in the Prize must be at least 18 years of age.
4.4 If the winner does not respond to us and/or take reasonable steps to follow our instructions on how to claim their Prize within seven (7) days of being notified of their win and provided with such instructions, the winner’s Prize will be forfeited and we shall be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above (and that winner will also have to respond to notification of their win and/or take reasonable steps to follow our instructions on how to claim their Prize within seven (7) days of notification or provision of instructions or else they will also forfeit their Prize.
4.5 If the winner rejects their Prize or the entry is invalid or in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winner’s Prize will be forfeited and we shall be entitled to select another winner.
4.6 The decisions of the judges regarding any aspect of the Competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered in to.
4.7 Proof that a valid winner was awarded can be obtained after the date of the Competition here.
5. PUBLICITY AND YOUR DATA
5.1 The winner consents to the use by us and our related companies, both before and after the Closing Date of the Competition for an unlimited time, of the winner’s voice, still and moving images and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by us and our related companies) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Competition, you consent to the same. Residents of Tennessee or any other U.S. state or other jurisdiction in which it is unlawful to require agreement to a perpetual publicity release as a condition of winning a Prize shall not be bound by this Paragraph 5.1 to the extent it is lawful.
5.2 We will use and take care of any personal information you supply in entering this Competition as described in our privacy policy, a copy of which can be seen at https://account.formula1.com/#/en/privacy-policy, and any other privacy policies we may provide to you from time to time. The information supplied by you in the associated entry form will be used as described on the entry form. Where a Prize is provided by a third party, you may be asked to provide your details to such third party in order for that third party to deliver your Prize.
5.3 Where you have consented to receive marketing communications from any person other than us, your details may be passed to such person(s) and organisation(s) that you have consented to receiving marketing communications from.
6. MISCELLANEOUS
6.1 We (and our related companies) accept no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Competition or accepting the Prize. We (and our related companies) further disclaims any liability for any injury or damage to your or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Competition save to the extent that such liability results from (i) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (ii) our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iii) any other reason or by any cause which cannot be excluded by law.
6.2 We reserve the right at any time and from time to time to modify, discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this Competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside our reasonable control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud); provided that in such circumstances, we will endeavour, to the extent reasonably possible, to award the Prize in a fair and equitable manner among any entries received not affected by the problem.
6.3 We (and our related companies) shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations relating to this Competition where the failure is caused by something outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but not be limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, epidemic, pandemic, supervening legislation or any other circumstances amounting to force majeure.
6.4 The Competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them is subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts. However, you may have statutory or legal rights in the territory where you live which could apply to your entry in the Competition.
