F2 champion Oscar Piastri targeting Formula 1 drive for 2023
As seasons go, Oscar Piastri's 2021 was up there. The Australian won his third championship in three years by sealing the F2 title with PREMA in Abu Dhabi.
The 20-year-old put in an emphatic drive for his team last season and afterwards he reflected on his campaign that saw him notch six wins and 11 podiums, impressing peers, team bosses and ex-drivers alike.

Piastri, who missed out on a Formula 1 seat for 2022, also spoke about his desire to reach the pinnacle of motorsport in 2023. For now, he will fulfil a role as Alpine's test driver.
