The first time that Red Bull’s RB15 was seen, it was sporting one of the team’s now-famous one-off, pre-season liveries – but now Red Bull have released the proper race paint jobs that their cars will wear in 2019.

Ahead of the start of winter testing at the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona, the team showed off the signature Red Bull dark blue and fluo orange that will feature on Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly’s cars.

It comes before a hugely important test for the team, as they prepare to run Honda’s power units in their car in anger for the first time.

Verstappen had his first taste of the Japanese firm’s fire power and the team’s pre-test Silverstone shakedown last week (where the menacing dark camo livery was unveiled) with the Dutch driver declaring that his first impressions of the Honda unit had been positive.

“It felt good and we had no problems, so I’m very happy with that,” said Verstappen after his shakedown run. “Now we can go testing properly. We’ll see what we can get out of that and we’ll be able to understand the car and the engine a bit better.”

Team mate Pierre Gasly, meanwhile, has yet to drive the car, but at least has the benefit of having spent 2018 driving the Honda-powered Toro Rosso STR13 before stepping up to partner Verstappen.

So, that’s Red Bull’s livery sorted then – but while the team’s colours are harmonious, this week should gave us the first proper indication of just how well Red Bull and Honda go together.
