Near-misses in free practice stoked the ire of numerous drivers, with Valtteri Bottas bringing back the "traffic paradise" meme before Leclerc took a stunning pole position at Ferrari's home race – the Monegasque's elation and passion clear to hear.

Two drivers who have scored famous wins at Monza – Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel – didn't finish Sunday's race, while Sergio Perez had to deal with a brake fire while pitting for tyres.
Leclerc wasn't happy about the late Safety Car, but Verstappen was plenty pleased with his first victory at the Temple of Speed. Oh, and Dutchman Nyck de Vries was absolutely ecstatic with points on his first start for Williams.
