SAY WHAT? Sainz, Norris and race winner Verstappen all feature in the best team radio from Imola
With mixed conditions across the whole weekend, the added complication of the Sprint and limited practice, it was no surprise that the airwaves were full of emotions in Imola. While there was double jubilation for Max Verstappen as the Dutchman won both the Sprint and the Grand Prix, the same couldn’t be said for everyone.
Lando Norris was another driver to experience the best side of racing, and was feeling magnanimous enough to dedicate his P3 finish to… his race engineer’s mum! But as for the Ferrari boys, there was nothing but despair with both suffering offs at very differing points in the race.
HIGHLIGHTS: Relive the action from the race in Imola, as Verstappen dominates to lead Red Bull 1-2
Frustration from Lewis Hamilton who was stuck in a DRS train, encouragement for Valtteri Bottas as he scythed his way through the field and plenty of rain-prediction calculations were the order of the day on the airwaves in the wet-dry Grand Prix proper. Level One rain anyone?
